Comments: We leased a new Impala in February. Ted Holmberg was a true professional during our leasing experience. We highly recommend him.
Because of Ted's exemplary treatment, we decided to service our Saturn Vue at Kouts. Last Friday, September 5, Kouts repaired the brakes on our 2004 Vue. The service shop repaired our brakes in a timely and competent manner.
Two issues, however:
1. I keep the driver's seat in the Vue at nearly a 90 degree angle for my back. When the Kouts service representative delivered ny car to me Friday afternoon at the Kouts repair shop, my driver's seat had been moved to a 60 degree angle and the horizontal position had been changed. If your service representatives needs to move the driver's seat, please instruct them to return it to the owner's preferred position before the driver takes custody of the vehicle.
2. When I dropped off the Vue for the brake work, the Kouts service advisor asked me if I wanted the old parts. I replied emphatically, "No." Friday evening I discovered the box of the replaced brake pads on the floor of the back seat.

Comments: Since the problem was an intermittant problem, & after multiple attempts to return to the leasing dealership, (which was not Kouts), I felt I was treated with respect thru Bud Kouts, & a willingness to take additional information offered. My safety concerns, with the Uplander, was given the kind of attention it deserved by a mechanic that obviously was a true mechanic, thru Bud Kouts. I felt completely helpless with the prior dealership, their attitude was if they couldn't duplicate it, they had no intention of spending addition quality time doing repeat inspections of components, even after it had failed again. In their mind, they had checked those items once & they weren't about to check again. That was NOT the attitude of BUD KOUTS. They knew going in this was occuring every few wks since the beginning of Jan. 2008 & I was afraid to drive the van.

Comments: The only recommendation that I could provide Bud Kouts team is to take time to give attention to detail prior to the vehicle leaving the dealership for the first time or after any service. This mostly entails the cleanliness of the vehicle especially where the technicians perform work. Overall though I don't think there is any better dealership in the Lansing area.
